SUMMARY
The Injection Molding Machine Operator will create soft baits according to customer specification.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently operates injection molding machines within defined parameters to successfully produce soft plastic baits according to specification
- Perform material handling procedures as required, including mixing of color formulas
- Perform and assist with mold and neck finish changes as required
- Complete all required quality checks, critical systems checks, production records and logs accurately
- Assist in machine start-ups and shut-downs; performs basic adjustments and maintenance
- Manage machine process efficiency initiatives, scrap minimization and materials conservation
- Checks products to ensure quality and uniform completion
- Ensures that workstation is kept in a clean and safe condition
- Follows safety guidelines and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Detail-oriented and consistent
- Reliable and able to work the required schedule
- Team-oriented and works well with others
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of injection mold machine operation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
- Must have manual dexterity in order to operate machines as directed
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
Manufacturing
Career paths in our manufacturing division include Production Associates, who help prepare products for bagging and packing, ensuring every bait meets our quality standards. This position may also perform final assembly on frog baits. We also hire Injection Molding Machine Operators and Maintenance Technicians, who oversee the machines that produce our soft baits, and Digital Printer Operators, who add the unique patterns and designs that make our frog baits stand out. Our Warehouse Team plays an essential role in fulfilling customer orders and receiving raw materials that keep production moving smoothly.
